4.1 Overview¶
Supply chains are the second level of your company, set up just below a project. They can be used to structure and divide your transports further into smaller groups and make them more manageable.
Useful supply chain groupings may be:
- Origin - destination
- Route Nr.
- Truck Nr.; Driver
All settings you apply to a supply chain will be made for all transports that are part of the supply chain.
If you create waypoints or geofences on a supply chain, they need to be activated first in order to be available on a transport. Otherwise they will not be shown within the supply chain and its transports for tidiness reasons.
4.2 Creating Supply Chains¶
To create a supply chain, select the project you want the supply chain to be within in the navigation bar.
Select the menu item "SupplyChains" on the menu bar on the top left of the workspace. A list of all existing supply chains within said project will be displayed. To create a new one, simply click on the "New" button on the bottom right corner of the workspace.
Enter a distinct name, as well as an optional description into the according fields and confirm by clicking "Ok". The new supply chain is now set up and can be filled with transports.
