2. CargoLive Overview¶
2.1 Workspace¶
2.1.1 Overview Workspace¶
The workspace displays all available information and settings regarding the planning, setup and modification of projects, supply chains and transports.
2.1.2 Menu- and Tabbar¶
The displayed information and options are related to the selected level in the navigation bar. Further selection is possible through the menu items in the menu bar at the top of the workspace area, as well as through the selected tabs at the lower left corner of the workspace.

2.2 Navigation bar¶
On the left side of the CargoLive website you will find your company, as well as any existing projects. If a project is selected, all supply chains within the project will be displayed as well. If you select a supply chain, the transports of the supply chain will be displayed, as long as at least one exists.
All changes you make for a specific level will also be available in any levels beneath it.
e.g.: Waypoints or Geofences, which were created under "Project 1", will be available for any supply chain that are part of "Project 1", once they were activated. Settings you changed for one level will be changed for the levels below as well.
Selected tabs in the workspace show different results, depending on the level that is selected on the navigation bar.
e.g.: If the tab "Settings" is selected, while a project is selected in the navigation bar, it will show different results than if a supply chain were to be selected.
2.3 Time¶
In the middle of the top black bar of the page you will find the local time for the logged in user. It is displayed for the time zone, which the user has selected in the user settings.
The calculation of all time data of transports is made for the logged on user using the displayed local time. This means that all displayed time related information within the CargoLive system will be relative to the local time of the logged on user.
2.4 User Settings¶
2.4.1 Opening User Settings¶
After logging in, simply click on your name in the upper right corner of the window. A window will open, displaying the user settings.
2.4.2 Overview User Settings¶
Users may save their basic personal information (e.g. name, phone number) as well as set up the way the portal is displayed.
Settings such as display language (english or german) as well as the users time zone can be found within the user settings as well. The selected time zone will be used to display the current time, as well as to calculate all time related information of transports. All information regarding time within the CargoLive-Portal will be relative to the selected time zone.
2.4.3 Generating and displaying PINs¶
Every user with the basic rights to access pinpads will be able to generate their own personal pin or display their existing one.
Simply click on the button "PIN" in the lower right corner of the user settings.
Enter your login password and confirm by clicking "Ok".
Should you already have generated a PIN, it will be displayed for 60 seconds.
If you want to generate your first PIN, or replace the current one with a new one, simply click on "New" and a new PIN will be generated and displayed for 60 seconds.
